A-Town Recording Artist
Originally from Opelika Alabama and raised in the small town of Beauregard, Marc Kenney started playing guitar when he was only five years old with his dad. His mom invested in formal lessons for Marc when he turned ten where he studied folk music which taught him twenty three different styles of finger picking on the instrument. Marc’s dad began booking Marc and his friends in different venues by age 14. By age twenty-four he found himself playing clubs along the famous Beale Street in Memphis Tennessee and becoming a member of the Memphis Songwriter’s Association where he got to meet famous songwriters Keith Sykes, Pat & Pete Luboff, and many more.
By age 30, Marc Kenney attended American Guitar Institute in Memphis, TN where he mastered the instrument and majored in music theory. He had also taken up Harmonica and Piano. Over the last few years, he has gone on to compete on Nashville Star (which he made the front page of the Nashville newspaper), written and recorded 4 albums, and currently resides in the Atlanta area. He loves to meet fans and will actually come to them when in the area. Email him at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will gladly talk to you. He does play many benefits and charities every year so don’t be scared to ask! He is currently signed to A-Town Records in Atlanta, GA
